Cookie Policy

Date of Last Revision: July 1, 2021

Like many web-based service providers, WillDom uses “cookies” in connection with the use of WillDom’s Service. This cookie notice provides information about how and when WillDom uses cookies and other similar tracking technologies on the Platform.

To better understand how WillDom uses the data collected through these technologies, please read WillDom’s Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is transferred by a web server and stored on the hard drive of the Partner’s computer or mobile device when the Partner visits certain websites. Generally, cookies are used to make the browsing experience better by allowing a website to remember the Partner’s actions and preferences (for example, the Partner’s authentication status). Cookies also provide information on how people may use a website (for instance, whether it’s their first time visiting or if they are a frequent visitor).

What cookies do we use and why?

WillDom uses a number of different cookies to provide the Partner with WillDom’s Services, to monitor usage and performance, to customize and improve the Partner’s experience, and to facilitate WillDom’s marketing, social and advertising activities.

Strictly Necessary Cookies

WillDom uses a small number of cookies that are necessary to allow the Partner to use WillDom’s Service. The use of these cookies is essential for WillDom’s Service to work. For example, WillDom uses session cookies for the duration of a session to keep track of a Partner’s identity and authentication status.

Functional Cookies

WillDom uses third party tools to help customize WillDom’s Platform and to remember choices the Partner has made, some of which may use cookies or similar technology in order to function.

Analytics and Reporting Cookies

WillDom uses many tools to help improve WillDom’s Services and the overall user experience for WillDom’s customers and website visitors. To this end, WillDom uses reporting and analytics cookies to collect information about how the Partner use WillDom’s website, and how often.

Marketing and Advertising Cookies

WillDom uses a number of tools to help with WillDom’s marketing efforts, some of which may use cookies or similar technology. Marketing and advertising cookies are used on WillDom’s marketing website to tailor marketing to the Partner and the Partner interests and provide the Partner with a more personalized service in the future. These cookies remember that the Partner visited WillDom’s website and WillDom may verify this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track the Partner device’s visits to WillDom’s website and other sites, they typically cannot personally identify the Partner.

Secure Cookies

A secure cookie is only sent to the server with an encrypted request over the HTTPS protocol. To avoid cross-site scripting attacks, cookies are only sent to the server.

Third-party cookies

Cookies have a domain associated with them. In the event that the domain is the same as that of the Web Platform where the Partner is located, those cookies are called direct. If the domain is different, the cookie comes from a third party. Although first-party cookies are sent only to the server that sets them, a website may contain images or other components stored on servers of other domains (such as advertising banners). Cookies that are sent through these third-party components are called third-party cookies and are primarily used for advertising and tracking on the Web Platform. WillDom may act through third party cookies on the Partners’ Sit.

What cookies does WillDom uses on this Platform?

To make full use of the functions and services we offer on WillDom the Partner must accept cookies, as we can only provide certain features of this Platform in that case. Although we only set certain direct cookies, we also make use of some services that set their own cookies. We believe it is important to be clear about which cookies are being set, and why, so we have provided the tables below to explain this to the Partner. The Partner will not necessarily see all of the cookies referred to below stored on the Partner’s computer after visiting the Platform.

Although WillDom audits the types of cookies used on its Platform, it is possible that the services WillDom uses may make changes to their cookie names and purposes.

How to opt-out, remove or prevent the setting of cookies

Most browsers give the Partner the ability to manage cookies to suit the Partner’s preferences. In some browsers the Partner can set up rules to manage cookies on a site-by-site basis, giving the Partner more fine-grained control over the Partner’s privacy. This means the Partner can disallow cookies from all sites except those that the Partner trusts. To customize the Partner’s cookie management preferences for the Partner browser, please consult the documentation that the Partner’s browser manufacturer provides.

In addition, on the Partner’s Devices, the Partner can change the Partner device settings to control whether the Partner sees online interest-based ads.

Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact the Partner’s user experience and parts of WillDom’s Platform or Service may no longer be fully accessible.
